On October 22, Wong Fatt Heng officially assumed the office of CEO in DIAN Diagnostics
In May this year, Wong Fatt Heng joined DIAN Diagnostics as the director and senior management consultant. Before that, he had worked as general manager of Roche China for 13 years, creating a new situation where the growth rate of Roche Diagnostics in China’s market exceeded 140 times with annual average growth rate maintained above 25% steadily. Wong Fatt Heng had created an era where China was made the world’s second largest market for Roche Diagnostics, only next to US, and he was also the main driver of China’s AGP (Accelerated growth plan).

At the inauguration ceremony of DIAN Diagnostics’ CEO, Wong Fatt Heng shared his work priorities and insights over several months since joining DIAN Diagnostics. On the one hand, he started to develop DIAN 5-year plan, and on the other hand, he was building a new organizational structure of DIAN centering upon business development with market orientation. Presently this structure had taken shape and was expected to complete the overall systematic construction in the whole Group this year.
“I’ve reached a peak in my professional life over the 30 years in Roche. I hope it would be the same in DIAN Diagnostics. I expect to work together with all of you to realize DIAN’s dream”, said Wong Fatt Heng.

Chen Haibin, Chairman of DIAN Diagnostics commented with emotion that Wong Fatt Heng was the best spokesman of DIAN’s “kindness” culture with his sincerity and good intention towards others. Both the belief of “doing a compliant business” he had been adhering to in Roche, and his selfless help at the time when DIAN was in trouble all reflected his noble character and feelings. He was not only a good mentor and helpful friend, but also a model for all DIAN people to learn from.

Brief introduction of Wong Fatt Heng
As an Overseas Chinses residing in Malaysia, Wong Fatt Heng graduated from The University of Western Australia as a major in laboratory medicine. He once worked in many Asia-Pacific countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and China, and served as general manager of Roche China from May 1985 to April 2019.
His honors includes “Baiyulan Memorial Award”, “Baiyulan Honor Award” (the award for foreigners with outstanding contributions) and “the title of “honorary citizen” given by Shanghai municipal government, as well as the “Friendship Award from Chinese Government” given by vice premier of the State Council.
